CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

  1. Should the student decide to cancel the contracted course/period BEFORE its commencement, the Centro Superior de Idiomas de la Universidad de Alicante (CSIUA) will issue refunds as follows:
    • If the cancellation request is made in writing 30 days prior to the start of the contracted period: a 100% refund less a €150 administration fee.
    • If the cancellation request is made in writing 7 days prior to the contracted period: a 50% refund.
    No refund of the enrolment fee will be permitted outside the established deadlines or once the course has commenced.
  2. Requests for deferral of enrolment must be made in writing before the contracted period and incur a €60 administration fee.
  3. Enrolments are personal and non-transferable.

Refunds due to Academic Reasons

The Centro Superior de Idiomas de la Universidad de Alicante requires a minimum number of students to open a group. If this minimum is not met, the centre will offer alternative solutions. Should these alternatives not be satisfactory to the student, the CSIUA will refund the course fee. This provision does not apply to enrolments associated with a student visa.

CANCELLATION BY THE STUDENT ON GROUNDS OF FORCE MAJEURE

As a general rule, cancelling a course’s registration, cancelling an activity’s registration, or cancelling the accommodation application will not imply being reimbursed of the amounts paid. Only due to decease or severe illness or accident will students be entitled to the reimbursement of the proportional part of the service which they will not be provided for.

CANCELLATION BY THE CENTRE ON GROUNDS OF FORCE MAJEURE

If the Language Centre cancels a service, students will be informed as far in advance as possible and the complete amounts paid will be reimbursed to them through the same form of payment used.

INFORMATION ON THE RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

In accordance with current legislation (General Law for the Protection of Consumers and Users and LSSI), the interested party has the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 calendar days without providing any justification. The period is counted from the day the contract is signed. To exercise this right, the decision must be notified by email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. as soon as possible. Once the notice has been received, the total amount paid will be refunded as soon as possible after receipt of the notification. The only exception where the full amount will not be refunded will be if the contracted services have been provided.

Exceptions to the right of withdrawal (Article 103):

The supply of accommodation services for purposes other than serving as housing, transport of goods, vehicle rental, food, or services related to leisure activities, if the contracts provide for a specific date or period of performance.
