In addition to the Spanish intensive courses, which continue to be offered during the summer months, in July you can combine an intensive language course with another course with more cultural and social content, either in English or Spanish.
Programme Information
- The intensive Spanish course offers levels A1 to C2+, adapted to the description of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
- The optional courses have two options, either in English or in Spanish.
- Each course awards 6 ECTS credits, therefore students can complete 6 or 12 ECTS credits.
- The topics of the optional courses are related to the cultural and political aspects of language, identity and critical literacy in a global context.

Summer Program Courses
Designed for people who want to learn Spanish quickly and effectively. Levels: from A1 to C2+, adapted to the description of the Common European Framework of Reference

Total hours: 60h - 6 ECTS credits
Are you interested in the cultural, political and social issues of the European Union and their connections to the Mediterranean countries? What is Spain’s role in this context? Why not doing a course in English about these cultural realities? You can get to know The European Union, Spain, its challenges, and its place in the international context. Course taught in English.
Schedule: Mondays to Fridays 12:00-14:00
Total hours: 60h (40h contact + 20 asynchronous online hours) - 6 ECTS credits
The objective of this course is to reflect on the main social issues within the current Spanish context from an intercultural and interdisciplinary perspective, addressing the different mechanisms of power and inequality in a variety of social and cultural contexts. The course will address the need for a gender perspective in all social and communicative spheres, the complex phenomenon of migration in Western societies and related policies in the educational, political and social context, as well as the growth of nationalist feelings. Course taught in English.
