The teaching personnel at Alicante University Language Centre is made up of a team of qualified teachers with extensive experience in teaching Spanish at different levels and modalities. The language intensive courses and the complementary courses in Art, History, Cinema, Culture, Gender and Literature are addressed with a methodological approach which promotes the use of the language in a significant and functional way.

Bachelor’s degree in Hispanic and French Philology by Alicante University, Master’s degree in Information and Communication Technologies in Language Teaching and Processing from UNED. He began his professional career in Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE) in 1997 as a Spanish Assistant Teacher in secondary schools in France. Since 1999, he has worked at Alicante University as a DELE examiner and teacher of the Spanish Language and Culture Courses at the Alicante University Language Centre. Since 2016, he has been the Head of Studies at this institution, serving as academic coordinator, coordinator of official examinations (DELE, CCSE, and SIELE), tutor of Spanish as a Foreign Language trainees, and person in charge of students and teachers’ support, as well as of relations with directors of international agencies and consortia. He is also a Lecturer at the Faculty of Education of Alicante University, teaching subjects in the Language and Literature Teaching Area for Early Childhood and Primary Education degrees, serving as a tutor, and participating in degree dissertation panels. He has a research line and has worked on primary teacher training in in Spanish as a foreign Language Didactics and the use of ICT in education, participating in seminars and research networks within the Department of Innovation and Didactic Training at Alicante University. Additionally, he has been a speaker at various workshops and seminars related to teaching Spanish as a foreign language.

Bachelor’s degree in Tourism by Alicante University. Since 2000, he has been part of the Language Centre, where she carries out tasks related to the Head of Spanish Studies.

Bachelor's degree in Marketing. Since 2001, she has been part of Alicante University Language Centre, where she performs tasks related to the Head of Spanish Studies. Additionally, she manages the corporate image of the CSI, digital marketing, and the development of promotional and positioning actions targeting the Japanese market.

Administrative Technician. She began working at Alicante University in 1992 and joined the Language Centre in 2004. Her administrative work focuses on the Accommodation Service for international students.

Double Bachelor’s degree in Law and Business Administration from Alicante University. Since 2025, she has worked at in the Accommodation Service for international students and the Secretarial Office of Alicante University Language Centre.

Bachelor’s degree in Translation and Interpreting (Spanish-English) by Córdoba University and Master’s degree in Secondary Education Teaching (English specialisation) by Alicante University. Since 2022, she has worked at as a technician for Sociocultural Activities for international students, as well as a technician in Conference and Event Organisation at Alicante University Language Centre.

Bachelor’s degree in English Philology by Alicante University, with postgraduate training in teaching English as a second language (TESOL, Sheffield Hallam University). She has completed specialization courses in teaching Spanish as a foreign language at Cervantes Institute, Alicante University and Granada University. She has worked as a Spanish as a Foreign Language teacher in the United Kingdom, has been a Business English teacher at the Alicante Chamber of Commerce, and has taught courses for the Valencian Regional Government and for European Union officials. Since 1999, she has been working as a Spanish teacher at Alicante University Language Centre, where she teaches all levels of Spanish as a foreign language according to the CEFR and specific courses such as Business Spanish, Culture, Art History, and Cinema. She is an accredited examiner for the DELE exam of the Cervantes Institute at Alicante University.

Bachelor’s degree in Hispanic Philology by Granada University, specialised in teaching Spanish as a foreign language by the Complutense University of Madrid. He began his professional career in 1992 and has collaborated with various public and private educational centres, including the Almuñécar Study and Holiday Centre, the Almuñécar International Institute, and the New University of Granada. Through the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, from 1997 to 2000, he worked as a support teacher in the Prince of Asturias Chair in the Spanish Department of the School of European Languages and Literatures at Auckland University, New Zealand. During that time, he also taught Spanish at the Centre for Continuing Education at Auckland University and at UNITEC, Auckland Polytechnic University. Since 2000, he has been a Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE) teacher at the Alicante University Language Centre. He is a certified DELE examiner by Cervantes Institute at Alicante University.

Bachelor’s degree in Hispanic Philology by Alicante University, where she also completed several doctoral courses. She began her professional career as a Spanish as a Foreign Language teacher at Sampere Study Centre in Alicante. Since 2004, she has worked as a Spanish teacher at Alicante University Language Centre. In addition to teaching Spanish, she delivers courses on Spanish Culture and Civilisation, Spanish through Art, Spanish through Cinema, Business Spanish, and Spanish Government and Politics. She is a certified DELE examiner for by Cervantes Institute at Alicante University.

Bachelor’s degree in Hispanic Philology by Alicante University, with postgraduate training in teaching and doctoral courses in Philology. Since 1999, she has been a Spanish language teacher at Alicante University Language Centre, where she teaches all levels of Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE) according to the CEFR and specific courses such as Business Spanish, History, Cinema, and Theatre. She has also worked as an ELE lecturer in the United States and the United Kingdom and has been a teacher at the British School in Alicante, teaching Language, Literature, and Social Sciences to students aged 10 to 16. She is a certified DELE trainer and examiner, with experience also as an examiner at the Cervantes Institute in Athens, Greece. She complements her profile with continuous training in linguistics, theatre, and didactics, as well as digital skills applied to teaching.

Bachelor’s degree in Hispanic Philology (Linguistics) by Oviedo University and Master’s degree in Spanish as a Foreign Language by Antonio de Nebrija University. She discovered her passion for teaching her language to international students during a funded postgraduate stay at Massachusetts University in Amherst in 1996. She has been a Spanish as a Foreign Language teacher at Oviedo University and, since 1999, she is part of the Spanish teaching team at Alicante University Language Centre. At this centre, she teaches Language, Culture, and Literature courses for international students and is a trainer in Spanish Grammar and Literature workshops organised by the Department of Spanish Philology at Alicante University in collaboration with Cervantes Institute and Alicante University Language Centre. She is a co-author of the Modern Spanish Literature Course for Spanish as a Foreign Language students published by Edinumen in 2013 and a creator of materials for the courses taught at the Alicante University Language Centre She is a certified DELE examiner for by Cervantes Institute at Alicante University.

Bachelor’s degree in Hispanic and English Philology by Alicante University, and Master’s degree in Teacher Training by the Complutense University of Madrid. She studied Translation at UNED, as well as specialised training in Distance Education. At Alicante University, she also completed a Master’s degree in Spanish as a Foreign Language Teaching. Her interest in Latin American literature led her to pursue doctoral studies focused on the work and personal archive of Mario Benedetti. Her professional experience spans various fields, mainly academic and educational, teaching Spanish and English in various Spanish cities at both public and private centres. She has also undertaken volunteer teaching activities in Uganda. Currently, she teaches Spanish Language, Culture, and Literature at the Alicante University Language Centre, where she is also a certified DELE examiner for Cervantes Institute.

PhD and Bachelor’s degree in Hispanic Philology (Extraordinary Degree Award) by Alicante University. Her teaching experience in Spanish as a Foreign Language began as a research fellow in the Department of Spanish Philology in 1992. In 1995, she started her career as a Spanish teacher at Alicante University Language Centre. She has taught many different subjects including Language, Spanish for Specific Purposes, Linguistics, Spanish through Cinema, and Spanish and Latin American Culture and Literature. She has been a trainer in the Spanish as a Foreign Language teacher training courses and has presented papers at Spanish as a Foreign Language conferences. She is a certified DELE examiner for Cervantes Institute. Since 2014, she has also been a Lecturer of Spanish Literature at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Alicante University, where she has coordinated and taught several courses such as Spanish Literature and Culture in the Teaching of Spanish as a Second/Foreign Language (Master’s in Spanish and English as Second/Foreign Languages) and Literature and Culture Applied to the Teaching of Spanish as a Second/Foreign Language (Degree in Spanish: Language and Literature). She is an academic tutor for several undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations. Her research publications on literature include articles, book chapters, and books, and she has participated in national and international conferences. For her teaching and research activities, she has received a positive evaluation from ANECA for the role of Lecturer with a Doctorate.

Bachelor’s degree Art History by the Complutense University of Madrid. Trained as a Spanish teacher for foreigners at Cervantes Institute and International House. She has taught Spanish as a Foreign Language at Elte University (Budapest). She has been a teacher trainer at Tandem Language School in Madrid, where she was also responsible for its cultural programme. She has also worked in other centres, such as Carlos III University, the European University, and UNED (open university). Since 2000, she has been a teacher at the Alicante University Language Centre, where she teaches language courses, Spanish for specific purposes, term courses for Erasmus students, and courses for American programmes. She has also served as a tutor for teaching trainees Alicante University teacher training courses. She is the author of materials for teacher training courses and teaching materials for language courses, particularly for the Spanish through Art course. Additionally, she has taught Spanish as a Foreign Language to immigrants at Red Cross NGO.

Bachelor’s degree in Translation and Interpreting by Alicante University (Spanish, French, Russian, and Italian) and PhD in Applied Linguistics for Second Language Acquisition, with a thesis focused on Academic Spanish. She completed her academic studies at François Rabelais University in Tours (France) and Artesis Hogeschool Antwerpen – Higher Institute for Translators and Interpreters (HIVT) in Antwerp (Belgium). Her Spanish as a Foreign Language training began at Alicante University in 2007 and was later completed at at Cervantes Institute and International House in Barcelona. She began her Spanish as a Foreign Language teaching career at the HIVT in Antwerp University (Belgium) and continued in various centres in Italy and the USA. From 2011 to 2018, she taught the Academic Spanish Course for international students at Alicante University, organized by AcqUA research group and the Department of Spanish Language, General Linguistics, and Literary Theory. She also directed and taught the two editions of the Academic Spanish Course for American students in the Spanish Studies Abroad Programme, organised by AcqUA and Spanish Studies Abroad at Alicante University. She currently focuses her teaching at Alicante University Language Centre, where she is a teacher in the Spanish and English areas. As a teacher, she combines Spanish as a Foreign Language courses with content courses in English (Spanish Culture, Interculturality, Gastronomy, etc.) for university students from the USA (CIEE, USAC, CEA, Spanish Studies Abroad, KISS, Duke University programmes) and the UK (De Montfort University, Open University), in addition to training future Spanish as a Foreign Language teachers and active American teachers. She is a certified DELE examiner at Alicante University. Currently, her research lines on teaching and learning languages for specific purposes, particularly Academic Spanish (EA), alternate with a growing interest in the learning difficulties of students in both their native and second languages.

Bachelor’s degree in English Philology by Alicante University. She completed the Spanish as a Foreign Language teacher training course organized by Alicante University Language Centre. She began her professional career in 2002 and has worked as a teacher in various educational centres. She has extensive experience in the field of Spanish as a Foreign Language teaching and has taught courses in language, culture, literature, business, tourism, and Spanish cinema. She has also collaborated in the development of exams and teaching materials for all levels of Spanish as a Foreign Language. She has participated in the organization of activities, visits, and cultural excursions to promote Spanish culture. She is currently a Spanish as a Foreign Language teacher Spanish as a Foreign Language, where she has also taught tailored-made courses for students from The Open University, Seton Hall, USAC, CIEE, Pittsburg State University, among others. She is a certified DELE examiner at Alicante University Language Centre.

Bachelor’s degree in Hispanic Philology by Granada University and Master’s degree in Spanish as a Foreign Language by Antonio de Nebrija University. He has worked as a teacher at the CILE and Cervantes academies in Málaga and is currently a teacher in the Spanish courses at Alicante University Language Centre, where he has taught courses in Language, Culture, Business, History, and Literature. He has also collaborated in continuing education programmes for teachers with Cervantes Institute and CEFIRE (Training, Innovation and Educational Resources Centre) in Alicante. During the 2013-2014 academic year, he was a Spanish Language teacher at Gymnázium Budĕjovická in Prague, within the Bilingual Sections programme organized by the Spanish Ministry of Education. He is a certified DELE examiner for all levels, and has published articles and reviews in Carabela, ELEIN, and Frecuencia-L journals.

PhD in Applied Linguistics for Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language with the thesis “The Use of Mitigating Elements in the Oral Discourse of B1-Level European ELE Students in an Immersion Context” by Nebrija University and Bachelor’s degree in Hispanic Philology by Alicante University. She completed a Master’s in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language with the dissertation “Conversation Classes in Spanish as a Foreign Language Teaching” (RedELE 10) and is a trainer in Spanish Teaching Methodology and a teacher in Spanish Language and Culture at Alicante University Language Centre since 2001. Additionally, since 2018, she has taught Spanish as a Foreign/Second Language in the Department of Spanish Philology, General Linguistics, and Literary Theory at Alicante University, and ELE Lexicon in the Master’s degree in Spanish and English as Second/Foreign Languages, where she coordinates the Spanish section. Her research line focuses on Pragmalinguistics, specifically the oral aspect of language and interaction in Spanish as an additional language. Her teaching work is complemented by her scientific publications and participation in the EPA-IULMA research groups on contemporary Spanish and NEOAL and NEOUA, specializing in neologisms.

Bachelor’s degree Anglo-Germanic Philology by Valencia University and Diploma in Teaching from by Albacete University. She completed doctoral courses and obtained the Advanced Studies Diploma in Spanish Linguistics oriented towards Spanish as a Foreign Language teaching from y Alicante University. She has worked as a Spanish as a Foreign Language teacher in Austria and at various private centres. Since 2001, she has been a Spanish teacher at Alicante University Language Centre, where she teaches language classes and complementary courses, such as Business Spanish, History, Cinema, and Spanish Literature. She is a certified DELE trainer and examiner for Cervantes Institute.

Bachelor’s degree in French Studies (with Academic Excellence Award) by Alicante University and holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Modern Languages Education by Manchester Metropolitan University. He has worked as a Spanish Assistant Teacher at Haute École de Liège (Belgium), where he participated in the third edition of the Spanish for Specific Purposes Conference, presenting teaching materials for Spanish classes. He has also been a Spanish language and culture teacher at the University of Central Lancashire (the UK). He has taught Spanish and French at various primary and secondary schools in the Greater Manchester area and has collaborated as a linguistic editor in the review and localization of multimedia materials in English and Spanish for PTW. Additionally, he has been an official examiner for language and literature for the IB school network and is a certified DELE examiner for Cervantes Institute. He is currently a French, Spanish, and English teacher at Alicante University Language Centre.

Bachelor’s degree in History by Alicante University, specializing in Modern and Contemporary History. Specialist in Librarianship and Documentation from SEDIC in Madrid. She began her professional career in 2001 and has collaborated with various educational centres and organizations, where she has taught subjects related to history, art, and Spanish language teaching, being the author and co-author of several materials for teaching these subjects. She has extensive experience in the field of Spanish as a Foreign Language teaching. She is currently a Spanish as a Foreign Language teacher at Alicante University Language Centre, where she is also a certified DELE examiner for Cervantes Institute.

Bachelor’s degree in English Philology and Master’s degree in Literary Studies by Alicante University. Since 1997, she has been a teacher in the Spanish courses at Alicante University Language Centre. Her teaching focuses on teaching Spanish for Specific Purposes and the application of CLIL methodologies through literature and art history. She currently combines her work at Alicante University Language Centre with her work as a Lecturer in the degrees in Early Childhood and Primary Education, where she teaches subjects related to English didactics and CLIL. She has collaborated as a guest lecturer in the Master’s degree in Spanish and English as Second/Foreign Languages at Alicante University. She currently participates in various research networks on teaching innovation and the use of Artificial Intelligence in education, a field in which she has published recent chapters and articles on the integration of generative tools in language learning. She is a certified DELE examiner for Cervantes Institute for levels A1 to C1.

Bachelor’s degree in Hispanic Philology by Alicante University and PhD in contemporary Spanish theatre in 1996 with the thesis “Fernando Fernán-Gómez, author”. She began her professional career in the Spanish Language and Culture courses organized by the Department of Spanish Philology, General Linguistics, and Literary Theory at Alicante University in 1991. Since 1997, she has been a Spanish teacher at Alicante University Language Centre, where she teaches both language and complementary courses. Her teaching includes ECTS credit courses for degree programmes from EU universities, as well as from the USA, Canada, Japan, Korea, China, and so on. She has also taught teacher training courses related to theatre didactics and theatrical techniques for Spanish as a Foreign Language, playwriting, social justice, critical citizenship, mediation, and situated learning projects. In addition to her work at Alicante University Language Centre, she was a Lecturer in the Department of Spanish Philology at the University of Alicante from 2015 to 2021, carrying out teaching and research in the Degree in Spanish: Language and Literature, the Master’s in Spanish and English as Second/Foreign Languages, and the Master’s in Literary Studies. Her research lines focus primarily on contemporary Spanish theatre and theatre applied to Spanish as a Foreign Language, with publications in books and various specialized journals. She has been a speaker at various workshops, conferences, and seminars related to Spanish as a foreign language, and is a certified DELE examiner for Cervantes Institute.

Bachelor’s degree in English and Hispanic Language by Aberdeen University (the UK), and Bachelor’s degree in English in English Philology by Alicante University. She completed doctoral courses and obtained the Advanced Studies Diploma by Alicante University. She has taught at Aberdeen University and collaborated with Nordqvist Productions in editing materials for Spanish language teaching. She has worked as a Spanish and English teacher at various public and private institutions, including Alicante University, C.O.E.P.A, and Colegio de España. Specialized in teaching Spanish for specific purposes in the field of Business Spanish, as well as in the creation and delivery of Intercultural Communication courses in English. She currently works as at Alicante University Language Centre.

Bachelor’s degree in English Philology by Alicante University. She has extensive experience as a Spanish as a Foreign Language and English teacher. Since 1997, she has worked at Alicante University Language Centre, where she teaches and assesses students. Previously, she was a teacher at the Language Laboratory of the Alicante Provincial Council and a collaborator in the Council programme. She holds advanced certifications in English by Cambridge University (Proficiency and First Certificate), the Postgraduate degree in Language Teaching, and continuous training in language didactics. Her career has primarily developed in the public sector, focusing on teaching foreign languages.
