Oxford Test of English is an examination certified by the University of Oxford, one of the most important universities around the world. It is recognized by universities and educational institutions nationwide and worldwide (recognized by Alicante University).

With the Oxford Test of English, you will be able to certify your language level (A2, B1, B2 or C1) with a single multilevel examination. Therefore, if you will not pass or fail it, but you will obtain a proof of your own level in each skill (Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing).

Oxford offers 2 multilevel examinations:

• Oxford Test of English (A2-B2) – which takes approximately 2 hours.
• Oxford Test of English Advanced (B2-C1) – which takes approximately 2 hours 15 minutes.

How is this examination?

• 100% online (it is done online in a language laboratory on Alicante University campus).
• Results are available within 5 days
• It consists of 4 modules: speaking listening comprehension, writing and reading comprehension. You have a limited amount of time to do the tasks in each module.
• This certificate indicates your level in each section and also provides a global grade. You can present this global grade in order to certify your level.
• The reading and listening comprehension modules adapt to your answers, therefore each exam is unique and personal.

How can I do it?

We offer several dates for the 2 examinations every year for the full exam or a module exam. You can retake the exam (full or one module) up to a maximum of 2 times in 8 weeks, but never more than 4 times a year. Oxford will keep your highest grades for the certificate.

VERY IMPORTANT: In order to obtain accreditation at the University of Alicante, it is essential to have completed the exam modules, as well as any retakes of said modules, within the same academic year. The certificate always retains the highest grade obtained and indicates the date on which each grade was achieved.

Once registered for the Oxford Test, no reimbursement will be made. If you are not able to attend the exam, your vacancy will only be kept for one of the two following exams dates, only if you present a document certifying the cause in the 15 days before the registration dates.
